We got into the car and the window was frosted over, as she turned on the windshield wipers hoping to knock off the ice, it didn't quite work. As I watched what she was going to do, I saw her grab her drivers license to use to scrap off the window. I chuckled to myself, because all I could think is....."Like mother like daughter" She learned that from me. As a child my mom would always have to run back inside the house and wait for the water to warm up and she would fill up one of our pots and pour it on the window...Didn't she realize a drivers license would work just as well?
So you see as much as our children say they don't want to be like us.. They eventually follow our life patterns.
This morning I felt so good, I smiled and I realized the things I have taught my daughter even a simple scraping of a windshield with a drivers license makes me smile! This should be a reminder to us all. Our children learn almost everything they know good and bad from us, as their parent.

your blog really gives us something to think about!
